Alice in Wonderland

I was obsessed for some days making this Alice Doll, she is about 23 inches tall and would make a lovely bed decoration. If you are interested in purchasing please email me. I am trying to clean out my fabric stash, I have about 6 more yards of the doll body fabric! I might be tempted to make a Mad Hatter next. This twill made excellent doll fabric, as it is soft yet has some structure.
She is tea dyed, has lovely bloomers, and her skirt is stiffened with buckram.
I made her shoes out of felt.
Completely inspired by the Tenniel original drawings. You may find them here http://www.alice-in-wonderland.net/alice2a.html

I was read the two books illustrated with his drawings as a child.

Please do go see Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, I was overwhelmed by his vision. I love that he did not change the original books, but made a story based on the originals, for an older Alice. Fantastic work.
Now I am inspired by the Tim Burton Alice. Victorian young lady may be on the way.
